Default WOODWORKING QUIZ for 13 Nov 04

    Good Morning Friends,
Have you ever noticed how hard it is to change the sanding sleeve on your portable sanding drums?

What would be the best or even a good method to make the chore easier?

    Respectfully,

Use talcum powder on the rubber sleeve.

    Good Evening ,
Yes, you are right that is one method of doing it, however a fellow came up with an idea where he would insert the drum into his drill press and turn it on.
Then he took a sanding block and lightly removed a small amount of the rubber of the diameter, then when he loosened the drum the sleeves would fall right off, and inserting another one was a snap.

    Thank you for your support.

    Respectfully,
