Dynalink rotary hammer drill, smoking motor
Dear members,
I hate throwing things away, so before I do, does anyone know where I can buy a new motor for my Dynalink 620W rotary hammer drill, or have it repaired.
It still spins but throws sparks and smoke out of the motor housing.
I can't even find a Dynalink distributor to ask, must be made in China.
If all's lost, I shall simply return it to the nature strip, from whence it came. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. It was probably only worth a $100 when new.

Not worth repairing...I don't think they were even $100.

Considering you can get a more powerful GMC or equivalent for around $60 new with warranty why would you chase a repair option.
Sad that this is so as we could build them to last 100 years, but at the moment we don't have to pay the full cost of our wasted energy and resources to have them as throwaways . . .
