Staining
Can anybody help with information or receipe for Mouldex Clear Stain? It was made by Walpamur which is now owned by Dulux. I have contacted Dulux but there only response was 'It has not been made for years'. Can someone help with the details or suggest another clear stain for Meranti, please.

Boys boys boys...how short sighted we are today....there is such a thing as clear stain...not really a stain though....but it is used to mix with prime colour stains to obtain any shade wanted...

mmmmmmmmmm I see, so it becomes the stain! In other words it is actually a clear product used as a base for stains.
Thanks for clearing that one up.

Staining
Thanks to those members who had a serious response to the question. As I said I contacted Dulux and even though they don't make the product any more I thought they or someone else might suggest where I could get a recipe for the product named. To the others, I approve of your sense of humor and may be able to return the favor on day. Regards!!
