How Should I Finish This Silky Oak Table - My First Wood Project for 45 years.
This is a slab Table from a Silky Oak That I planted as a sapling 25 before a cyclone blew it over.
A couple of things - it's not finished yet -
How do I strengthen the really porous light coloured wood - I do not want to remove it unless I really really have to - there is too much of it elsewhere-.
Then once I have shaped it and sanded the timber to a polish with 120gr 240 and 320gr, What 's next?
Sealer .....
Appreciate any suggestions and product advice.
