Anyone got a belt for a Cincinnatti Tool and Cutter grinder?
I bought this T & C Grinder on Ebay and picked it up today. Does anyone have suggestions where to get a belt from?
Cinncinnatti Number TWO Tool AND Cutter Grinder in Victor Harbor, SA | eBay
It was a good morning picking it up and checking out the workshop. They have some gear yet to sell. I have some pictures of the shaper there, a Torpex like one that I have, but it has a 2 car gearbox conversion, quite well done. It is in really good order and priced around $600.
The family is selling their deceased Fathers workshop and the gear has been well cared for and mostly reconditioned. I was able to help identify some of the gear that is around. They have a granite surface plate I forgot to measure and photograph. It would be about 1200x600 and 200 thick, a beautiful surface. It will be coming up for sale soon. I am negotiating with SWMBO about the verticle mill and a cast surface plate and a few other pieces that are there. The old mill I want to try and identify which also has car gearboxes driving it. It has No.2 Verticle cast into it and something like No4 Morse taper or B&S maybe, I am thinking it is perhaps a quite early Cincinatti.
I forgot to get pics of the T & C grinder until I had it unloaded!! I will add the ones I took later.
The best bit today was watching my sons taking a turn each to bring our forklift to and from the shed to unload, watching them weave up a straight track!!

I've seen people use automotive polyrib belts to replace flat belts, not the most ideal replacement but it works. My boss has a source for flat belts, I will ask on Monday. I think they make the belt to whatever size you want, so you might have to measure it. Do you have to pull the spindle out to replace the belt?

Here are the pics of the T & C
They are not the best pics and I forgot to get any of the extra wheels and attachments. I need to clear a space in the workshop and get it in there to start working with it.
Thanks for the ideas on sourcing a belt.
