Joining DVW succesfully?
Hi all, tried the search function but limited luck. Last weekend I removed one out of three COCAS PALMS:((:(( from next to the house. Man those root absolutlely go everywhere. Ripped up all the paving chasing them.
Anyway, while giving the tractor a bit much grunt, the palm came down. I had dug down three sides of it to help. Now I have busted pipes everwhere. I fixed the 25mm PVC ones but I have a 100mm DVW pipe that is brocken and a 90 storm water pipe busted. I have cut them back square and tried a slip on joiner on the 100mm DVW pipe. Seems to work ok but leaked when I put water through it a couple of hours later. Its only coming from the kitchen sink.
Is there a trick to doing this type of join? The glue seems to just wipe of as it slid over. I did it twice. Once with regular glue and primer and again with Tangit glue and primer. Hopefully you ca nhelp as a plumber is about 100km away.
