    Unhappy Oh Crap! Not again!

yep, did it again. Injured that fingertip, for the third time.

This is not my favoured way of trimming fingernails, I much prefer the belt sander, truth be told. I was exiting one of the rooms in the house Tuesday night and accidentally closed the door on my finger as I was pulling the hand back from turning off the light. Needless to say the door won. Still don't know how much feeling I've got left in the fingertip now, can't feel it too much, just a bit of pressure feeling if I accidentally try to type with it.

Oh please let this be the final thing I do to this fingertip, surely this is the third and last time!!!!

Thanks - yes it did hurt for a while, there's a bit of bruising down the side of the finger and under the nail, but i guess I'm lucky there's not that much feeling as I think it would be painful if there were

Yes, I do believe we are getting close to the one year anniversary for my ankle (which, by the way has never been the same either) Oh well, another tale to tell round the fire I suppose

Wendy, if you did the job properly the first time you wouldn't have a fingertip to jam. Do it once, do it right!

Sincerely hope your finger is feeling better soon.

    Cheers

Oh Wendy, How could you do it three times???. That hurts, I must say that even I am guilty of slamming a door on my finger, only I flattened the tip and lost the nail in a matter of hours. I really know where youre at. Hope it gets better quickly.

Maybe having minimal feeling in the finger is a good thing, it won't hurt so much next time.

what Mic said, should have done it right in the first place

    Cliff - what Skew said!!!

HWMNBO simply took over cooking dinner, didn't say much, but I'm sure he kept an eagle eye on me. I was too busy freezing the finger under running cold water and away. He did ring me the next morning though, which was nice

Wongo - Yes I will be careful, I don't need to stain the CL box any, it's got enough red in it as it is

    cheers

    Wendy

sounds like you need to wear a finger stall (or, heaven forbid, a thimble) on that finger - it's got a problem. I mean - to be cut once is an accident, twice may be carelessness, but three times...looks like that finger's enjoying it way too much for its (and your) own good.
