Default Ponting - Australian or Un-Australian

Is Ricky Ponting ur typical Aussie having Australia Day off, to kick back and have a few beers and a punt?

Or is he Un-Australian. - As the Captain of our magnificent cricket team decides to take the day off kick back and have a few beers and a punt and forget about leading his country on our second most important day (after Anzac Day)

    Hmmm, makes me wonder:confused:

So you reckon some aussies oughta be second class as they should not be allowed to have Oz day off as a holiday.

I dont think being australian has anything to do with it.

Like most of the Oz team they think they are better than they really are as was shown in the UK.

They just lack discipline. I doubt that ponting isnt at the cricket though. Could be wrong of course but if he aint there he needs it bad in the......

Back in the old days one of my Great Great grandfathers knocked back a place in the Aussie side going to England - he was more interested in attending the Warnambool show.

I suggest he may have been taking an interest in some skirt there - my Great Great grandmother? The other explanation is perhaps he couldn't afford to go because I think they had to pay their own way then.

That was back in the WG Grace years - I wouldn't have even been a hint of an itch.

Im all for Ponting taking a bit of time off....would be just dandy if he and Shane Warne could take some time off during the next game against New Zealand.

Kiwi, maybe the whole team can have the day off and the Broken Hill under 16`s can play you. Then you just might have a chance of winning a game
