Is this the "stool" on the window and can I replace it?
Hi Again,
I've looked through the threads and I apologise if I missed it but I couldn't find an answer I could understand on this.
I have a rotten piece of wood on the inside of an aluminium window. I would have called it the sill but I understand it's the stool. Hope that's right. I want to remove it and replace it as it has a few rotten and cracked bits. It appears to just be nailed down but I am nervous if I start ripping it out that it may be under the window itself or something. Could I ask for your advice on removing and replacing it please.
Cheers,
Garmpe
