Is there a market for Budjeroo?
Can any one tell me if there is a market for Budjeroo, if so, milled to what dimensions, green or seasoned? Any info would be appreciated.
Cheers

For sure, I know I would get some off you, green or dried for furniture. Bit hard on tools but finishes very nice. Where in QLD are you?

Budgeroo is beautiful for furniture and wood turning, certainly one of my favourites. Always worth more once dry, but wet is also sort after. Not sure how big you are talking about, but I'd cut to 100mm thick or half the log, which ever is thinner. That way it should dry reasonable well and can be used either whole or sliced down on a bandsaw for most turning/furniture applications.

Thanks for the advice
Thanks everyone for the advice, Im in central qld and have a bit of budjeroo about to come down along fence lines and roads being maintained so i will cut and air dry. I reckon 4x4's and 6x6's.
milled one old dead one yesterday and dressed the bottom flitch, wow it is very attractive just with a bit of linseed, schmicko.
When i have a quantity i will post it and probably bring it down to Toowoomba.
Thanks

Another one i did last night, probably to become a done to death hat rack with a few dog spikes driven in to it, but love that texture

Very nice timber.
If you find you have dug yourself a hole, the first thing to do is stop digging.
I just finished child-proofing our house - but they still get inside.
