Default Ubeaut Sanding Sealer under Wattyl Stylwood (NCL)

    Hello,

Finishing is not my strong point so after reading the ubeaut data sheet I am not clearer.

Basically I want to spray Wattyl Stylwood (nitro cellulose lacquer) as a finish. I believe the timber would benefit from a sanding sealer and the only one I have is the ubeaut sanding sealer.

Does anyone know if I can use this sealer under Stylwood
    Regards,

You can use it under pretty much anything.....

    • One coat wiped on with a rag and left for a few hours (preferably over night) to dry.
    • When dry sand very lightly with 800 or 1200 grit abrasive, just enough to get rid of the nibs of torn grain raised up by the sanding sealer.

That's just about the whole story in a nutshell. You can now finish the surface with whatever you like. You can even get a water dye to soak into the grain after using it.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers - Neil

    Thanks Neil.

Normally I just spray a light coat of lacquer sand and then top coats.
