Default Tasmanian Blackwood Front door -recommendations for a clear finish please.

I'm having major house alterations done at present, including a new front door in Tasmanian Blackwood.

I've had various conflicting recommendations for the finish for the door and need advice.
The door will get almost no sun, except very late afternoon, and will not be exposed to rain - it will be well sheltered. I want the wood grain to be a feature.

I've been advised against an oil finish (which was my first preference), and trades advisers have suggested:
    Estapol clear
    Resene Qristal Clear Polyurethane
Altex Timbercote clear gloss varnish (a marine type varnish).

I would appreciate any other comments or recommendations.
(Reviewing posts to "finishing" over the last 12 months I have seen some proprietary names which are not available in NZ)
    Cheers,

Thanks China for your recommendation. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find any Rustins products locally, although I have heard of their brand.
Having taken local advice I am going with "International Goldspar Original marine Spar varnish". It will be done professionally in the joiner's workshop. I hope it works out.

I stand by the International paint brand. I've never had anything but good long lasting results from them.

    Good choice.

I used Monocel Marine varnish on my Merranti rear doors,..happy with the results and after 5 plus years the only spot showing signs of requiring retouching is the bit that gets lots of sun and rain. Not my first choice in sealing nice timber but if its outside then you have to compromise!!
