G'day everyone
I just finished year 12 (08') and completed my major work in Industrial Technology Timber (aka woodwork). I designed and build a corner cabinet out of European Beech. turned out very well for my first project doing woodwork 88%
Now I’m planning on doing a new project but have no idea how to design it. I want to build a Work bench for the garage but not sure what kind of timber and how big it should be, all I know is that I want it to look good and be solid so when I use my tools on it it doesn’t bloody move.
Can anyone help with some ideas of timber types and sizes?? I originally thought of building it out of timber sleepers but thought that that’s a bit extreme. So any help is very welcome.
Cheers
Chris

G'day Hummer and welcome to the nuthouse.
Glad to see you did so well in Yr 12. As far as benches go, I suggest you have a look through the Big Stuff and The WIPs. plenty of great benches to be found.
