Default How do I reface chipped veneer kitchen cupboards?

    Help!

My kitchen & bathroom cupboards are made from white veneered particle board (mdf). The veneer on the doors is thin and chipped, so I believe that painting them won't make them look attractive. My budget is limited and I am considering covering these ugly cupboards by gluing wood panels
directly onto the old doors to give my kitchen a new look. Do you think this will work?

If not, can you suggest the cheapest way to reface my cupboards without re-placing the doors?
    Thanks,
    Jan

I saw an episode of Auction Squad a day or two ago and they used a thin self adhesive laminate to resurface old kitchen cabinet doors.
Can't remember the name of the product but perhaps the Auction Squad website has the details.

you can always touch them up the shifty way - use liquid paper (if the doors are white)

I think mine are in a similar state to yours---except mine are veneered chipboard. I'd be interested in some before and after shots of whatever solution you choose.
Those are my principles, and if you don't like them . . . well, I have others.
