G'day from France
G'day All,
Retired to France from the UK. SWMBO wanted a house with character so we ended up with one built in 1730 and that's a guess as the records don't go back any further.
So much for character - new plumbing, new heating, new electrics [the latter done by pros] the rest of the house has been plaster boarded with insulation being. In the process of getting the ground floor sorted [for visitors I guess, you know what women are like] and after that a new bathroom from scratch, a new bedroom and the rest to be re modelled -more than a few days work then!
Still the weather's better, the air's cleaner and the beer and wine has its point too.
She Who Must Be Obeyed for those who haven't got a SWMBO
Cheers all
