Merbau & Tassie Oak 2 Drawer
This one didn't work out as nice as I'd hoped, but it's passable, (just). I thought I'd still post it because this section has been quiet for a while.
Merbau and Tasmanian Oak, the lining is felt.
I was trying out a different technique. It almost worked.

What's not to be happy with, Apart from a little too much gap around the top drawer??

Those gaps stuffed it up a bit, unfortunately. I got a bit careless with the bandsaw and had to sand out an error.... Steve

I like the Merbau/light timber combo. Merbau comes up pretty nice with a finish on it, sort of a chocolate colour, but it takes heaps of coats to fill the pores. Originally Posted by torchwood
