New internal wall with cavity sliding doors?
I have a wasted area in our house that I'd like to turn into a guest room but still have it available for general use when we don't have guests. I'm thinking of putting in a stud wall to enclose the area shown above (please forgive the mess, I have a very active one year old ). To keep it as open as possible I'm thinking of putting in a couple of cavity sliding doors which can be left open most of the time and pulled closed if required. The area I'm looking to enclose is ~ 3100x3100.
I'm interested in suggestions on how to go about the process and anything that I should keep in mind when I put the wall in. From a brief look, it looks like I will have to purchase two separate cavity door frames and install them in the new wall but if anyone has other suggestions I'm happy to hear them.
