Arrow light goes on light dont go off.

    G'day.
I turned a light off yesterday and that only suceeded in dimming it for a few seconds before brightening up again, dimming a bit and generally wavering around in brightness. So I took the bulb out.
I'll have to get a sparky to come out and have a look, but I'd like to be forwarned.
does it sound like a faulty switch? or a wiring problem (note: I have done no electrical work around the house so it's not my fault)

Could be a switch or wiring problem - something is shorting out the switch.
Best let the sparky deal with it.

I'd say if his house hasn't burnt down in the intervening 10 years, the OP has this one sorted out by now.
