    Default F17 vs HYSPAN

    hi,
In the process of installing joists for new extension. Plans asked for 95x45 hyspan lvl joists. Cleared with engineer that is ok to use f17 instead of LVL. Ordered 95x45 F17 but received 90x45 F17. Will this 5mm make that much difference? Is the F17 rated higher than the LVL and if so will this allow for a height (ie 90 instead of 95).

    Any advice greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Greg

Although it doesn't have an F rating the LVL most likely would come in at F14.
I personally think the F17 will be OK.
