    Default Tiles on Concrete

    Hi,
I have ripped up the carpets and about to tile a couple of rooms. Iam tiling onto a concrete pad of an 18yr old house. Is there any preparation to the surfaces that needs to be done prior to tiling and which would be the best type of adhesive to use. There are no wet areas planned at the moment it's just hallways and kitchen/dining area.
Any advice would be greatly appreicated
    Rgds Peter

    steps:

    1. if steel trowelled, smooth, hard concrete, then acid etch with 1:10 HCl solution.
    2. use a primer to seal dust eg multiprime, or lanko product from bunnings.
    3. use a levelling compound if the floor is uneven.
    4. use any adhesive you like, probably cement based is cheapest. Ceramacrete by Davco is cheap and good for this application.

    good luck
    cheers
