Question Under eve vents- How many?

    Hi,

Need advice on under eve vents / intakes.

Our house has terracotta tiles in the older section with sarking under rafters and rotating roof ventilators. Newer extension (north facing) has colourbond roof with sarking. Both areas have ceiling insulation.

Wet ares are vented separately and not into roof cavity.

    My questions are:

    1) Do I need to install slots / vents under eves?
    2) If so, how many (sq mm per roof area)?

Your comments, advice & digs will be appreciated.

    Regards,

    Theva

    Ok,

Worked it out with a smoke test. There is enough ventilation / gaps in the tiles without any vents. So, planing to leave it alone.

As they say, when in doubt, don’t do it.

    Regards,
