Default Finish for pink oak band sawn box?

heyy, just wondering what you would recommend using as a finish on a pink oak band sawn box? im not interested in stains, but something that may give the box a little bit of protection and gloss

    thanks heaps

Not sure about pink oak but on my bandsaw boxes I use Rustins Danish Oil (a few coats) then a coat of Ubeaut traditional wax buffed with the Ubeaut buffing mop.

The finish seems to have a nice level of gloss without looking like a coat of plastic. As for durability my guess is that it stands up ..... so far I have sold every bandsaw box I have made and have never kept one for any period of time to test out the finish. I have sold to return customers so I can only guess they maintain their finish for some time.

    Cheers.
