Refinishing of wooden coffee table
Hi all,
About 6 months ago, a friend of mine had to leave the country, and gave me a completely run-down and old coffee table.
The shape and design of furniture itself was of good quality though so I thought it had potential to turn into something nice. However, there was an old layer of paint on there that I had to remove.
This was one of my first projects, but I had no clue where to start and kind of proceeded with trial and error. It actually ended up turning out really nice, and I learned a bunch along the way. I've since gotten addicted and spruced up many other pieces of old furniture as well.
It's a lot of fun to see something run down turn into something that you would actually put into your house.
Either way, if you would like to see the makeover I posted it on my blog that you can access here.
I also tried to put a checklist to help beginners refinish / paint their own wooden furniture. Let me know if you guys have any suggestions. I would love to hear your feedback from you veterans.
