Sealing slate tiles
Does anyone know of a really good slate sealer ?We need to reseal some external slate and we're not happy with the previous stuff.

Gday Rossluck,
The choice of a good sealer depends on a lot of variables in my experience.
How much foot traffic.
In the weather most/all of the time.
Is it in an entertaining area where cooking or alcohol is often present.
Is it likely to come into contact with salt.
All of that aside, solvent base - very hardwearing but harder to recoat.
water base - not very hardwearing in the above listed conditions but a damn site easier to recoat.
If you can give some idea of the "environment" the floor is in, i may be able to suggest a product or at worst a manufacturer.
cheers
