    Arrow Concrete in the kitchen

    Hi all, I have a small kitchen at the back of an old single front terrace. The original floor looks likt a concrete slab (painted green) and has couple of additional layers of cement on top (2-3 cms). The kitchen cupboards rests on the top cement layer. I want to remove the top 2-3cm layer of cement without disrupting the cupboards. Its cracked and not flat enough for tiling.     hey mate if your concretes cracking insure u put a expansion joint threw your tiles by using to lengths of 8 mm aluminum angle back to back with bout a 3mm gap between them then fill the gap with silicone or expansion foam this will avoid your new tiles cracking and lifting and give your floor movement and play.good luck.
