Might need a look ?
Hi All,
Globe blew in the Bathroom, 275W.
So got the Steps out, had to move the Plastic Surround & unscrew the Globe.
We use a bit of Powder in out B/room.
Should have seen the Burnt Powder around the Upper part of the Globe.
Ours are only the 2 x 275's & the Room Globe 75W.
The other 2 were also badly Burnt as well
Cleaned Everything, all OK now.
Maybe you might need to look as well, but of course there are other Heating Devices as well.
Just My 2sense worth.Regards,
issatree.

I found the best way to service the bathroom fan/light units was to turn on the fan and use a leaf blower to force air up through the vent.
I had a situation where the fan would not turn, or turn slowly, at start up. The baby powder/talc gets into the bearing and seize. By blasting with the blower I was able to force the fan to turn and clear the bearings. My fan is still going and that is at least 5 years after the initial problem.
The fan/light was installed originally when the house was built in 1977.
Hope this is of use.
regards, Ned
