Repairing hole from ceiling fan
hi guys, this weekend we'll be taking out a ceiling fan in the kitchen and I want to patch up the hole. The ceiling is horse hair plaster and we found the plaster disc in the roof which was originally cut out and my plan was to stick the disc back up there and patch up around it.
rod posted a utube clip showing someone repairing a ceiling by putting a couple of bits of timber up in the roof and screwing the plaster to it. will this work the same with horsehair? is it likely to just crack and fall apart ?
also what is the best thing to use to patch up around it?
any advice or suggestions would be great, or alternatives to what I have planned.
thanks
