A guessing game
A similar thread was started a few years ago by Sir Stinkalot. Simple really, just tell us the name of the band AND the name of the album. First correct answer gets to post the next album/cd cover. This thread may die a quick death, but it could also be a bit of fun.

I probably should know this one, but what's throwing me off is it's the same cat in each image - just with different hair. Hmmm, maybe they were brothers - can't be the Osmonds, they weren't into hallucinogenic mushrooms (or Roger Dean - if the cover was by him). Best I can do is estimate that it's English.
EDIT: Actually, scrap that suggestion - on closer inspection it's not Roger Dean art at all.

Think San Francisco, late 60's. Definitely not The Osmonds.

The band is said to have been named after a street brand of LSD and promoted by renowned LSD chemist and former Grateful Dead patron, Owsley Stanley.

Just watched the clip, and the drummer is the closest thing to Cousin It that I have ever seen! He only has to close up that one inch gap at the front to be the real deal.
There must have been a lot of car accidents around that period, and I don't mean due to drugs. Their peripheral vision is shot!

I've seen that image somewhere on the internet somewhere, prolly on the bands website. I've gone through my bookmarks and I can't find it .

The band launched the careers of some pretty well known and influential musicians.

arggh Scott, this one is killin' me. I remember that image so well!
Not the Yardbirds (didn't they have a succession of GREAT guitarists!). Leave it with me and I'll come back and tell you who else it wasn't

Most of their music came from the late 60's and early 70's. They're not an English band however they tried to make it big in the UK with moderate success.

I think it's later than The Yardbirds, and I think they're Australian.
