Old concrete septic tank repair
Hi Guys,
virgin forum member here, please be kind!
Firstly this is a great site with pleeeenty of info!!
My problem - have an old septic tank at a country "weekender". The tank is crumbling up where the top joins the tank, leaving a gap nearly all the way round. It smells pretty bad due to escaping gases and guess the septic system wouldn't be working that efficiently with air getting in. It would have to be nearly 35 years old. In the past someone has bogged up the gap (no pun intended) with some tar like substance and has held up pretty well, but is falling out again.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what/how to repair the gap with using todays modern products? (apart from replacing the tank).
cheers
matt
