    Default Starter boards for weatherboards

Starter boards for weatherboards <hr style="color: rgb(102, 51, 51);" size="1"> <!-- / icon and title --> <!-- message --> I have seen weatherboard houses with starterboards as the first weatherboard on the bottom. I don't mean the top baseboard, it is actually a different board with a rebate in the top for the first regular weatherboard to start on. They look to be about 150 x 35mm and made of dressed treated pine.

Anyone know where I can get these in Melbourne Eastern suburbs? The places that I have seen with weatherboards don't know what I am talking about, but I have seen them on a few weatherboard houses now, new renovations and old.

    Hi Peter,
Had you considered buying a suitable board and putting a rebate in it yourself?
You could do it fairly simply with a circular saw and/or planer.
Other than that, I can't help you.
    Good luck,
    TM

I got my starter boards. They were made by Lamcal Building Supplies in Heidelberg. They make them to order and know exactly what they are. I will post pics of how I went with it all.
