Default Fixing Battens to Concrete & Decking to Battens

I extended the concrete slab on my front porch 2 weeks ago and now I ready to put my decking down.
I'm planning on fixing 75x35 hardwood battens to the slab and then the 90 x 19 Merbau decking on top of the battens.

Just a couple of quick questions.

    1) What timber should I use for the battens? I will be putting a bit of fibro under the battens to pack it up 5mm or so.

    2) How should I fix the battens to the concrete? Dyna bolts? Size? Ramset? lead anchors?

    3) How/What should I use to fix the decking to the battens?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Well, Seems that a bit of a search and read helps.
I've read that to fix my merbau decking to the battens I should be using 10g Type 17 square drive coutersunk s/steel wood screws 50mm long and use a countersink and pilot bit and hire my self a cordless impact driver.

So the question still remains, whats the best way to fix the batten to the slab?

    Cheers

I would just use spagetti and 100mm concrete nails.

You have to remember only 2 nails hold a joist to the bearer so there is no need to go overboard with the fixings as there is no uplift, if the battens are on the falt side they are not gonna move much, each to there own i guess.
