Hi,

I'm new to renovation (i'm a sparky - but have NFI about other non-electrical stuff) and was wondering if someone could please clear some stuff up for me:

Roughly how much do shower screens cost on average? Nothing fancy.
Roughly how much do shower bases cost?
Is it easy enough to rip down an old screen and put it up yourself? Is there a lot of stuffing around with silicone?

What order should things be done in the bathroom?
(In order of current thinking)
- Rip out old shower screen, taps and fittings
- Rip off old wall tiles
- Rip out old shower base
- Install new shower base
- Tile wall with new tiles
- Erect new shower screen
- Silicone gaps & insure water proofing
- Add new taps/ fittings
- Rip out old crappy bathroom vanity
- Install new Bathroom Vanity taps & fittings
- Rip vinyl off bathroom floor and prep for tiling
- Rip out old dunny
- Tile floor with new tiles
- Install new dunny

Is this correct? Any advice/tips to give someone who is starting out?
Thanks.
