Default The end of The Bill

Shock, horror, after 26 years ITV in Britain has announced that The Bill is to be axed.

End of an era as long-running police drama taken off the beat | Perth Now

What are we going to watch on Saturday nights???

This is a major catastrophe.... can Kevin Rudd intervene? Could we invade Britain and demand that production continues?

Stopped watching it a few years ago. Like any good horse past it's prime it's about time someone took it out to the back paddock and mercifully shot it.
The other day I described to my daughter how to find something in the garage by saying "It's right near my big saw". A few minutes later she came back to ask: "Do you mean the black one, the green one, or the blue one?".

Was sad. I've been watching it since I was a little fella. Seeing the character of Tony Stamp leave was like watching the old guard die, Jack Meadows is all that's left now.

It's not the same old Bill that it used to be though, when the cops were cops and it was the old way of policing.

I'd love it if Ch. 2 repeated The Bill all the way back to its start.

How many stories of crime can they think of? It started getting a bit "soapy" like there for a while.

    "Look out sarge, he's got a shooter".............lol

I think The Bill "jumped the shark" years ago. In terms of deaths/muggings/explosions per square mile, Sun Hill would have to be the most dangerous place in the UK

I lost track of things when Sun Hill station was blown up (the first time...) with PC Polly still sitting on the toilet (or 'torlit' as she would call it). "Turn it up, Dave"....LOL

No, I reckon Midsomer (Midsomer Murders) takes the prize. Usually at least three a week in a little English village.

What about Mt Thomas in Blue Heelers (I think that's correct)
