    Default Waterproof over paint

    We have moved a shower up against an existing wall. Wall is painted on the top half. Can I prime then waterproof ovefvthe paint? Have sanded it already20240518_122146.jpg

    Pretty sure most manufacturers will say no in their guides, I suspect the main issue is the unknown of how well is the paint attached.

    is free from dirt, dust, oil, paint, curing compounds andany other contaminant materials

    I assume you will also tile over the waterproof ?
    That adds more weight that will be trying to pull the paint off.
