Cage fighting Forumite

Interesting to see that one of our Forum Members is now a fighter in the Cage Fighting scene.

I was watching the Mixed Martial Arts fights on Foxtel the other night and one of the contestants introduced in a light-heavyweight bout was Steve Thomas from Cowra. On closer inspection I recognised him as Steve who used to own The Lumber Bunker at Gosford (AKA here as "Lumber Bunker").

I was a regular customer at The Lumber Bunker which unfortunately closed down a couple of years ago, and I understood that Steve & his wife had moved out of the area. He was introduced to the ring as a teacher, so I'm assuming that he is now continuing his woodwork classes etc at Cowra.

Bit of a radical change of scenery there, Steve - the fighting I mean. I can report that he made a very good account of himself, but unfortunatle had to retire after sustaining a nasty head cut in the second round and was looking a little worse-for-wear.

I hope his students don't give him any ##### in the classroom.

Maybe he's taken it up as a stress relief instead of taking it out on his students.

He needs a new forum/ring name maybe 4x2 or superfoot
