Bunnings oxyacetylene in WA...
I've just received an email from the manager of our local Bunnings (Cannington) telling me that stores in WA will be getting the swap&go oxyacetylene bottles in the coming months, so finally there is light at the end of the tunnel (and not just a train coming the other way).

Bunnings oxyacetylene non supply in North Queensland
Last week I enquired to Bunnings about possible supply of oxygen & acetylene swap & go cylinders in my region. I received an email from the Airlie Beach (really Cannonvale) Bunnings which is the store nearest to me.
I received the following reply from the Builders/ Trade Coordinartor :
"Just a follow up to the email I replied with on Monday. I have checked with the stores in Townsville and Mackay and to what I thought they do not have the welding gas swap either. It is currently only available in selected stores in Brisbane as a trial. Unfortunately it won’t be available in Nth Qld any time soon."
No real surprise, used to this kind of service around here.
