GMC platinum
as we all know GMC is down the bottem of the power tool totem pole with OZITO, RYOBE and a couple of others. Can any one tell me is the new platinum range from GMC any improvement, they are apparently going to be dearer and should slot into the medium price range I am especially interested in the slide.comp. mitre saw? If they bring out a reasonable unit with accurate angle settings in the $400.00 to $500.00 range it should be popular.
Thanks
Frank

I'm guessing it's like Black and Decker a few years ago, had the good old "Black and Yellow" (which was really black and orange) as their dummies line, and a green and grey (I think) trade line (Now supplanted by deWalt, which of course is black and yellow (not to be confused with black and orange of the same name!)
Platinum may just be the colour that gives GMC respectability, particularly if they keep the two year guarantee in a trade environment!
Cheers,
P
