Expanding 5C collet collection
For want of something better to do, I just decided to post a picture of my collection of 5C
expanding collects.
There are two basic types; Rovi collets and Royal type clones.
I have used some of the Rovi collets for making nickel silver reel seat hardware for my bamboo fly rods. This entails making a cap and ring by boring, profiling, fine knurling and finishing.
The Royal clones I use to make the brass fittings for the fly rod tubes. Tubes are aluminium with a closed brass cap and an internal threaded cap and a matching external threaded collar that fits on the other end of the tube.
