Oops - I didn't see this thread until after I'd already started a thread asking for help on putting together a basic laundry cupboard. Ah well, better late than never!

I've joined up because I've recently moved into an old Federation-era house which has lots of things that need fixing up or replacing, and I'm hoping I can learn from everyone here on how to do some of the work myself, as I've always been interested in woodwork (despite a complete lack of handyman skills). The forum is great, and I hope I can be as supportive as some of the people on here in a few years when I have some skills to pass on!
