I saw this this morning. It is one of the best articles on real estate I've read. i know a lot of people here are, well, no longer first home buyers, but if you know someone who could use a touch of perspective you might want to point them here:

The very best advice he gives is: don't buy if you can't afford it. A roof over your head that isn't a millstone around your neck is far more important than pools and home cinemas.
