Extended striker plate for cracked/rotted timber?
Hi all,
Is it possible to obtain striker plates with larger gaps between the mounting screws?
Some of the striker plates are coming loose due to rotted/cracked and over drilled holes for the latch. In Germany I found striker plates which were longer specifically for this purpose, off-course they use different mechanism.
I'll need to remove the frame and build a new one at some stage when I get time and knowledge.
