Hi there

We plan to have recycled Blackbutt timber for the kitchen benchtops and perhaps the same for bathroom vanity tops and also the top area surrounding the bath (is this the hob?).

We had planned to use wax or oil on the timber as the seal, as this is look we prefer (rather than a laquer)

The cabinet maker we have spoken with warns us that timber will go black around the sink/tap areas in time.

Can you provide information or opinions about how to best prevent this, please.

Many thanks

J
