Default Eucalyptus Caesia - Silver Princess

Does anyone know if there is any use for this timber other than fire wood?
As a result of the recent storms in Perth I have got hold of a couple of reasonable sized pieces.

It is reasonably hard maybe ok for turning. Don't know much about it as the largest bits I have cut are about 120mm diameter and I converted it to wood chips.

    Default E. caesia Silver Princess

    Hi all,
I've resurrected this thread on the off chance that more info is available.
I helped my neighbour tidy up this 15 YO Silver Princess that collapsed a few days ago. The stump is about 260mm dia, there are some fairly straight pieces which I haven't tried to split or do anything else with. Apart from turning and firewood as mentioned above, any good ideas out there?
    Cheers,
    Geoff.

I know nothing about the timber, but on the principle that you'll never know if you have a hidden gem until you look, I'd seal the ends (looks like you have) and halve it on a bandsaw. You could probably even resaw it to 25mm boards and sticker them away for a year or preferably 2. you never know your luck.
