    Default Outside shutters?

Has anyone made shutters for outside? I have a few poles around my pergola area that I would like to mount some shutters on. Ideally, they would be able to be lifted, so they'd function somewhat like a Venetian blind but have to withstand heavy winds and seal weather fairly well.

I'd be very interested in any links to a how-to if anyone has any.

wouldn't you be better off with plastic outdoor cafe blinds ? Bunnings have them in precut sizes, not too expensive, better wind protection, roll up, see through and look good.

    Groggy,
I would've thought that timber shutters wouldn't last too well outside, water getting into all the joints. I'm not skiting I'm sure you will get rain there sometime.
