Default G'day, mates from Down Under.

Are there any polytarp sailmakers in your hemisphere? I start to need a little company during late fall and winter here in the states. Over the years I've built a few boats to test sails on and picked up a few skills, but I'm probably better known as a tarp sailmaker. Recently, I've become more and more focused on small scows such as the PDRacer as a test bed for sails and building materials, particularly composites; so I would be very interested in discussing either composites or sails if those topics are not taboo on a woodwork forum.

    Best regards,

    Dave Gray (PolySail)

    Welcome aboard Dave.

I am not a sailor so I have no clue about sails but the forum does have a wooden boats sub forum so I would post your enquiry there

    G'Day & Welcome "DownUnder" Dave.
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP photos with build notes.
Can't help with the sails or boats, but enjoy the forum.
    Enjoy you sailing.
Cheers from On Top DownUnder, crowie
