WTB: Thicknesser - Brisbane
Hi All,
Is anyone selling a decent thicknesser? 15" Single Phase
Budget is $1000, I tried calling and emailing the place at virginia but no returned calls or emails.

I was in the same position a while ago and chasing the same thing as well as a large bandsaw, when I didn't need one there were quite a few around but when I did need one, it took ages to find one. Try looking on the Gumtree website (which is where I found mine) or ebay as well.

Probably most us who have decent ones aren't willing to part with them. I would not be parting with mine for $1000 in a hurry.
Having said that, you would think that someone would be upsizing, downsizing or changing direction somehow...

Im not after a spiral head one, given they are $1400 brand new from carba tec i didnt think $1000 was unreasonable

I have ordered a Hammer A3-41 and will be selling my Woodfast 310 combination planer thicknesser, but not until the new one arrives early in 2015. Might be too long to wait!

Thanks for the comments, I bought a Holytek 15" today. over 20 year old but still in good condition.
