    Default Howdy from Texas

I just learned about this forum on IAP and it looks like a great bunch of folks and lots of information. I was also attracted to the forum because my company builds equipment for some of the Australian mining companies.

I'm 68 and have been doing woodwork for over 50 years but I don't do large projects any more. I bought a lathe a year ago and took up wood turning. I mostly make pens but I also enjoy making other things as well.

I enjoy pen swaps and managed to join this forum in time for the 2014 pen swap. I'm looking forward to chatting with my swap partners and even though I'm still new to pen turning, I hope to make something they'll enjoy.

G'Day & Welcome to the Great Southern Land and to a top forum "Ed".
There are quite a few members from Texas, across the USA and the rest of the world.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
    Enjoy the forum.
    Enjoy your woodwork.....
Cheers from On Top DownUnder, crowie
