Cheap Protection from Super Cheap.
I know Super Cheap gets a bit of a slamming here but............
On one of my frequent star searching visits to BobL's, Bob showed me a case he had purchased on sale at SCA for about 16 dollars. I made a detour on the way home and purchased one for myself at the non sale price of $19.95. A bit cheaper than a real Pelican and probably not up to the original's standards but for the price, perfect for safely storing items worth storing safely. With a 30 arbor mounted on the scope it won't fit in its original box.
SCA sell four different sized cases. I bought another two yesterday. http://search.supercheapauto.com.au/search?w=case

I also bought another one yesterday.
I'm currently having fun "star seeking" in a single phase motor from a clothes dryer. Well, it's not a "star" as such but seeking the junction between the drive and switching coil so I can switch one of the coils around to get the motor to reverse. The junction turns out to be buried inside a coil. I reckon I have managed to dig it out. If it works I'll post some pics.

[QUOTE=Grahame Collins;1769985]Hey steady on guys, i brought home a port full of stuff from Harbour Freight on my last trip to the US. Yea it may not be top shelf, but some of it is very good value. Shall i mention the mag base lasers that project a line on the job for my bandsaws for $12.95.
