Saw this on US ebay -

(That's a Blohm surface grinder if you are still too stunned to notice)

That Blohm has an atrocious colour scheme, some people go silly over colour schemes for machine tools...
Light red, the colour of choice for the discerning man.

They do. I'm just trying to think of the forum member who recently brought a surface grinder and was painting it. I wonder whether he will be boring or a bit creative with it?

Factory colours on an Aciera F35 and a F55. Makes the Blohm look restrained.
Personally, I prefer boring green and grey.

Restrained, controlled…. arn't they the sort of words you want to hear when buying an expensive precision machine? Bright, impulsive, loud, maybe not so!
I'm with Bob. I like modest, sensible working colours. Not colours that look like a Gen Y person made the machine!
SimonGirl, I don't wanna know about your mild-mannered alter ego or anything like that." I mean, you tell me you're, uh, super-mega-ultra-lightning babe? That's all right with me. I'm good. I'm good.

Was in Bunnings looking for some paint for the splash guards today. Felt myself leaning towards a fluoro green…….. Then I gave myself an uppercut and bought some black!
I refuse to be influenced by peer group pressure!

After a few milliseconds thought, I think, I'd take that Aciera, F35, whatever the colour... even pink. Hard to beat that precision swiss feeling..
Anyway, I could always paint it a Reseda Green, the colour of choice for all quality machines.
