laminated strip box
I made a new box this week and also managed to put the finish on as well which some of you will know sometimes takes me awhile to get round to.
The box strips comprise of Oak, sycamore, american oak, black walnut, br.mahjogany and sapele. All the timber came from my waste scrap box of offcuts.
There is a wip thread at the ukworkshop forum if anyone is interested at

Very functional. I like the stripes... like a tiger at high speed.
I would love to grow my own food, but I can not find bacon seeds

That looks great. Did you just glue the strips together with PVA then clamp them together or do something else? Also what finish did you use and what grit did you sand the box back to and what are the box dimensions?
